ERASMUS+Mobility: Diversity in Europe – an educational training programme in Malta

As a headteacher of a competent and modern vocational school I would like to be able to professionally welcome international guests visiting us. That requires quite a good level of English communication skills.

That was one reason why I attended the educational training programme „Diversity in Educacion“ for teachers and headmasters in Malta from 11th to 16th November 2018. It was financed by our ERASMUS+project – Moving Harz 2017 (for further information see: http://www.bbs1goslar.de/europa/erasmus/).

The course dealt with the variety of individualism we daily face in a social system like a school. It expands our view concerning inclusion and made us a lot more aware of the necessity to appreciate it as a precious gift!

To get the final certificate we had to give a presentation containing all we had learned during that week – including new pedagogical and methodological knowledge.

From that magnificent island I also brought home contacts to and concepts from other schools all over Europe, ideas for further projects within and outside of our school – and the hope to have found an institute for English language where some of our students could also take part in an English course – at best on educational leave.
